Anthony began his photographic career in 1971 while living in Madrid, Spain. Over that decade he traveled extensively, photographing locations around the world. People and cultures became the focus of his imagery.

Returning to the United States in the late 70’s , Anthony along with J.P. Luebsen, and Rebecca Yewell established and co-operated the Living Arts Gallery in downtown Los Angeles from 1980 through 1984. They organized multiple artistic and cultural events in connection with L.A.V.A., U.C.L.A. and other organizations in Los Angeles.. They also supported other artists in gallery showings, dance presentations, installations, and exhibitions.

In 1985 the gallery closed. Anthony then established “Images for Success” a photography company which created images for advertising agencies and magazines. The Company focused on innovative photography for marketing products, clothing fashions, and the music industry. Clients included A & M Records, Warner Bros,, W.N. Norton Books, Cablevision and Damen Industries, U.S.C.and U.C.L.A. Dama Dinamica, Brooks College of Fashion Design, L.A. Family and Palm Springs Life Magazines, The Max, Smash, Playboy, and Shreve Agencies. In 1991 he also co-founded the company “Covershots” A photographic glamour studio business located in malls in Southern and Northern California.

Teaching: Instructor at the Learning Tree University for beginning to advanced photography. He specialized in teaching large format photography and the Zone system, He was also a guest lecturer at U.S.C. for Fashion Photography as well as a fine art instructor in the Ansel Adams Zone System in Yosemite for Every Woman’s Village.
